off David St. on the right when coming from Jaffa Gate. Half hostel and half guest
house. The large fountained garden and overhanging dining hall are reserved for private
guests, but the hostel part has its own calm garden and enormous kitchen with free tea
and coffee. Breakfast included for private rooms. Reception 6am-10:45pm. Check-in
noon. Check-out 10am. Lockout for hostel guests 9am-noon. Curfew 10:30pm, flexible

The Old City Youth Hostel (HI), 2 Ararat St. Walk down David St. into the
market and follow the signs: a right onto St. Mark's Rd. and a right again across from
the Lutheran Hostel. Hauntingly spacious and nicer than most hostels, but also much
