Their Terem Clinic is open 24hr. and will see anyone on a walk-in basis
for both emergencies and non-emergencies; most insurance plans are accepted, as is
direct payment by credit card. Newspapers list hospitals on duty for emergencies.
Police: Emergency in
West Jerusalem. Tourist desk , on Cheshin St. just off Jaffa Rd. near the
post office. An Old City branch , on the right, is inside Jaffa Gate.

Help Lines: M'Lev Center for Crisis Counseling has a
general help line and referrals for English speakers. The Rape Crisis Center («1202
from anywhere in Israel) is staffed 24hr. Eran Emotional Health Hotline
assists tourists daily 8am-llpm. Alcoholics Anonymous, 24 Ha-Palmah St. («563 05
24 or 583 00 92). AIDS Hotline , staffed M and Th 7:30-10pm. The
weekly "In Jerusalem" insert in The Jerusalem Post lists many other support groups.
Services for the Disabled: Yad Sarah Organization, 124 Herzl Blvd. Free loans of medical
equipment. Offers wheelchair van for airport pick-ups (NIS150, order 2 weeks in
advance) and rides anywhere within Jerusalem for fares comparable to those of taxis.
